Reality

Reality

What is actually real? Everyone has experienced that something feels unreal or that someone else’s perception is so different from ours that we don’t know what is real and what is not.

There are two main levels on this planet.

The real level, the unchanging.

The illusion level of play. The Indians call it Lila.

The real plane is the living, natural, oneness with everything. We are part of the infinite spirit, alone. We are part of the infinite love, all-connected. We are life, energy and free consciousness.

Through curiosity, unconsciousness and ignorance a game of illusion has been created where each spirit being assumes a separate identity that it believes itself to be. With this separation came distortion, competition, deficiency thinking, confusion, struggle, longing. This could happen when the beings saw the artificially created world of roles as their ‘true’ identity. Of course, they then felt somehow ‘wrong’, because they were much more than just a role. They now wanted to prove to themselves that they were who they were in order to compensate for their fear and feeling of inadequacy.

Those who are truly conscious can live in both planes. They know that they are infinite indestructible spirit and can slip into different roles to gain experience. The more they are anchored in the real plane, the less they suffer, because here they are always the same and indestructible, while all roles and other identifications always come and go, like roles that an actor takes on.

The more unconscious, who consider the illusionary level and their ego to be reality, believe that Oneness and the spirit are an illusion. They suffer from loneliness, the struggle for survival and fear of loss and death. Deep down they know that any identification with the illusionary plane is subject to change and will die and then believe they themselves will die.

What has led to this split and why is it still good?

I am telling a story that I have experienced myself partly through meditation, through gracious sudden states of consciousness and realisations and through mindwalking, journeys of consciousness and encounters with true masters and shamans:

I was in the primal source. It felt like an infinite soup. An infinite field where there was only security, light, love and unity, but to my astonishment it felt quite sleepy and unconscious!

The original source wanted to experience itself. It ‘separated’ individual parts into space. There was no real separation, but the individual flames of consciousness experienced themselves as separate parts.

They only knew security and were therefore free of fear. Full of curiosity and enthusiasm, they played with their creativity, created colours and shapes, enjoyed them and when they turned their attention away, the creations dissolved again. Then the flames of consciousness made new creations.

The primordial Source called the flames of consciousness home again, but they did not listen because they were so mesmerised in their play.

Then the primordial Source created a larger flame with the task of calling the others back home. This gentle being tried, without success.

The primordial Source created a being that was somewhat stricter, with the same mission to finally bring the others back home.

This strict one thought up new games that were more uncomfortable and thought that this would make the other beings want to go home again. To his astonishment, the others were delighted and rejoiced at the new games. So the strict one kept coming up with new ideas. It became ever more complicated and dense, ever more sophisticated. The law of cause and effect was born. Now the creations were so dense that they no longer simply dissolved. The beings had to take responsibility for their creations. They themselves also began to identify with their form, their bodies. Competition arose, rivalry… The ever-increasing separation between the beings also led to loneliness and a gradual awareness of lack. Others could have more, be better, represent more….

The beings identified more with masks and appearances than with their natural being and who they really are deep down, namely indestructible infinite spirit and life itself.

Free play became bitterly serious.

Some now realised that something was wrong and wanted to go back. They asked themselves, who am I? Where did I come from? Why all this?

The austere one, who had been overwhelmed by the initial praise, decided to turn away from the original Source and declare himself a god. Now he no longer wanted to allow others to recognise the truth that there was an original Source that was more all-encompassing than the strict god and that the game was just an illusion. It was the world in which he believed he was the most powerful. He was the magician of illusion.

Penalties were introduced for not conforming to the masses.

By this time, planets and dense fleshy bodies had emerged…

The denser the level of illusion of the game became, the more beings had forgotten who they really were and identified with the game as reality. The game had long ceased to be a joyful game and had become bitterly serious.

To keep the beings distracted from the original Source, the strict one and his accomplices thought up things like money, property, television, media, governments and tax systems, national borders… Everyone was now busy trying to get their lives together. To keep their dense bodies alive, they believed they had to eat solid food. This had to be cultivated or paid for. And so the story took its course. The beings now had a solid body, emotions and thoughts, all of which were easily manipulated to keep them busy and distracted. And yet there was and is the true real plane. They are eternal consciousness and light from the primordial Source and in their deepest inner being they are one in universal love. Their hearts contain this open secret. Through the pressure of suffering and sometimes through grace, the desire arises to return home and to have experiences that allow us to feel the connection again. Many felt more and more the longing for love, safety, freedom and lightness from which they had originally come.

They realised that the strict god was not where they came from. They wanted to go deeper.

Spiritual schools emerged where many beings sought ways to enlighten themselves and become aware again of what was true. Some succeeded and were placed on a pedestal as saints. Many believed that they themselves could not make it. This was only reserved for a few of the highest calibre.

The strict magician and his accomplices thought up psychologically sophisticated things to twist and thwart any attempt to return to the original Source. Even religions and spiritual schools were corrupted. Wars and suffering have been multiplied under the name of religions. Spiritual schools often became places to serve one’s vanity and become the next guru.  Everyone dressed in white or had a different ‘uniform’ and wore ‘spiritual jewellery’. Yoga became the new sport…they felt better and more advanced than other beings. Missionary work was taken very seriously. In the name of religion, the path away from the original Source was sometimes fuelled even more.

In order not to feel the suffering, many blunted themselves. They closed themselves off. To cope, many consumed drugs, alcohol and sugar, others distracted themselves with television and the media, which showed them the new reality and intensified their longings and fears. This made them feel alive.

Titles were more important than honour, artificial breasts more beautiful than naturalness… The strict magician recruited his accomplices again and again with promises of more prestige through titles, more money and wealth or by threatening… Universities became places where the false reality mixed with the real. Psychology was more about statistics than about love and safety, medicine was more about illness and death than about well-being and becoming whole…

As much as attempts were made to propagate the twisted world as real, more and more beings became more aware, more and more beings wanted out of the suffering, the constraints. Fewer and fewer beings prioritised money over solidarity or titles over friendship and working together for the good of all.

For a long time, the strict magician used the game of good and evil to continue to stir up fear, cause wars and maintain a divisive mindset. But more and more beings are no longer falling for it.

Why all this?

The primordial Source wanted to experience itself. Over the eons and in the form of an infinite number of beings, self-awareness grew. The individual sparks of consciousness awaken and become aware of their true nature.

You can do a contemplative experiment. Look at photos of yourself from childhood until now and feel how your charisma, ability to love and awareness has changed. You will be amazed. That’s what it’s all about!

Expanding and embodying awareness and the ability to love. In this way we embody our universal pure being more and more. The stories and circumstances serve this purpose.

The infinite game of consciousness continues and we can make it more and more conscious and joyful. We can learn to distinguish between what in the game promotes reconnection to the original Source of all being and therefore joy and love, and what serves the magician and separation and therefore causes suffering. Those who wake up no longer have to suffer. Those who wake up can turn back to love and transform the game into a joyful one.

So in the end also the magician accomplishes his divine task, to make sure, all beings return to the Source of love.
